I've known Myra for a couple of years now. I first met her as part of the competition team at Artisan Dance Studio. At our first session, we did a downtown, rooftop photoshoot together. (Head to Artisan in Clintonville to see a beautiful metal print of Myra hanging in the lobby!)
"Myra dreams big and follows through," says her mother. "She's independent and strong and courageous."
Myra is in the top 10% of her class. She hopes to make her way to a big city on either coast studying global studies and communication. Whether she finds herself in New York City, Seattle, or Portland, she's excited for some time away from the midwest. She may even take a year to travel Europe and find work to simply see what else the world has to offer. She's working right now to save money for her potential travels.
Myra is also a lover of coffee and The Office. Her cats Leroy and Yellow Cat often join her for a binge-watching session of the sitcom. More often than not, though, Myra is hanging out with friends, enjoying Starbucks, and preparing for life after senior year.
Myra has one more dance competition this year, and she's doing her own choreography. Myra's bright spirit and curiosity are undoubtedly ready for her next adventure.
"She makes me proud," says her mother.
For her recent senior portrait session, Myra joined me in my studio. We wanted to combine her love of dance with elegantly posed contemporary portraits.
Myra was such a joy for her senior photos. She was relaxed and confident. And does she know how create for the camera! I'd say the results speak for themselves. Enjoy Myra's beautiful senior portraits.
